According to the report quoting Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Zain, the previous date was postponed due to health reasons.
The Marang MP was initially slated to provide his statement on Saturday (Sept 2).
“He asked for it to be postponed to tomorrow as he was not feeling well,” Mohd Shuhaily said.
Abdul Hadi is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act.
Abdul Hadi was being probed after he allegedly disputed the Pardons Board’s granting of pardons that were said to be un-Islamic.
The remarks were allegedly made during a ceramah in Bakri, Muar, Johor.
On Abdul Hadi’s meeting with former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad yesterday, Mohd Shuhaily said he had no knowledge of that.
Abdul Hadi had reportedly met Dr Mahathir along with four Perikatan Nasional Mentri Besar on Saturday (Sept 2).
